[](http://www.uploadify.com) # onInit Input Type:**function** Input Format:**function() {}** Required:**optional** The **onInit** option allows you to run a custom function when the Uploadify plug-in is initiated. The default function hides the DOM element that Uploadify was applied to, then creates an instance of the flash button and a file queue.
