## 1 Product Introduction
iMeter-WiFi is highly-integrated, single-phased power meter with Wi-Fi module embedded and 1 RS-485 port, which can measure and transmit the data of specific electricity equipments, such as single-phase AC voltage, current, power etc. It supports MODBUS-RTU protocol.
iMeter-W can be connected to our energy online monitoring system-_Iammeter_\([http://www.iammeter.com/](http://www.iammeter.com/)\) by one-key setup.

## 2 How it works
See below work flow of iMeter-WiFi:
1. Quick Wi-Fi setup to connect the iMeter-WiFi to your home Wi-Fi network;
2. iMeter-WiFi upload the real-time data to Iammeter Cloud;
3. View your data via Iammeter platform \([https://www.iammeter.com](https://www.iammeter.com/)\) or mobile Android/IOS app.
## 3 Installation
> Note: The electrician license maybe required for installer according to your local law.

## 4 WiFi Setup
Very few steps to finish Wi-Fi setup.
1. Use your smart device's Wi-Fi connection setup, connect to the iMeter's network, which will show up as iMeter\_xxxxxxxx \(xxxxxxxx is unique SN of iMeter\). No password required.
> Note: Note down the Meter SN for later registration on_Iammeter_.
1. Whilst connected to the iMeter's network, open a web browser and navigate to [http://11.11.11.1](http://11.11.11.1); Enter the username "admin" and password "admin".
2. Connect to home router by clicking "Find AP" or manually input home router's SSID \(your home Wi-Fi networks' SSID\) and Key \(your home Wi-Fi networks' password\) and then click "Save&Reboot"
3. After rebooted, input IP address

on browser and check if the iMeter gain the IP address.
Click "More..." for details.
Click "WiFi Networks" to search your home WiFi network.
Ensure the signal strength is stronger than 50%.
### 4 Iammeter Platform
Iammete platform:[https://www.iammeter.com](https://www.iammeter.com/), is an energy online monitoring&analysis IoT platform. All power meters which support standard Modbus protocol can be connected to Iammeter by few steps of setup. After then you can enjoy the online function of Iammeter:
• Monitor your energy consumption online anytime from anywhere
• Quick connect iMeter-WiFi to the platform and start monitoring your power consuming by few steps of setup
• All other Modbus, RTU meters can be connected to the plarform by using DTU device
• Multiple choice to upload your power data: Ethernet/Wi-Fi/GPRS
• see real time statistics, historical data and energy consumption analysis, such as voltage, current, power, etc.
• Access your real-time energy data on cloud
• Open API enables perfect integration into corporate or personal websites
**Step1,**Confirm the WiFi setting is correctly done and the internet service is normal for your home wifi network
**Step2,**Visit Iammeter website \([http://www.iammeter.com/](https://legacy.gitbook.com/book/devicebit/iammeter-devicebit-power-monitoring-platform/edit#)\), click "System" on top menu bar, and the login page is shown
**Step3,**Click "Sign up", fill up the information on sign up page, enter the meter SN noted previously into SN column
**Step4**: Log into_Iammeter_, you can see the meter is already added in the system, click "My place" on the left menu bar to set your location and time zone.
> Note: Time zone must be correctly selected or it will affect the data statistics.
**Step5**, now you can check the online data chart and report on Iammeter.
