Overview
The Straddle Carrier transports containers ([flowitems](Flexsim_Users_Manual.html)) within the model. It can move containers to/from a ship or a [Yard Block](YardBlock.html). It is not directly accessible from the [ContainerTerminal library](Introduction.html), but becomes available when a [Strad Gang](StradGang.html)is included in the model. After including one of these strad gangs in the model, you can click on an individual straddle carrier to make detailed changes to that particular straddle carrier.

Name - The name of the strad can be reassigned by entering a new name in the input box at the top of the strad's properties window.
Max Speed - This value is the maximum speed of the strad. Time and length units are determined by the [Model Units window](Model_Units.html).
Acceleration- This value is how fast the strad accelerates. It will accelerate at this speed until it reaches its max speed. If this value is 0, then the strad will instantly achieve its max speed without any acceleration time. Time and length units are determined by the [Model Units window](Model_Units.html).
Deceleration- This value is how fast the strad decelerates. It will decelerate at this speed until it reaches 0 speed. If this value is 0, then the strad will instantly stop once it reaches its destination without any deceleration time. Time and length units are determined by the [Model Units window](Model_Units.html).
Lift Height - The highest position that strad's spreader can be lifted.
Spreader Lift Threshold - The threshold position that defines when strad can start moving during spreader lifting process.
Spreader Drop Percent - The percentage of time spent for spreader dropping movement during strad load/unload operation. For example, a strad tries to load a container from ground, its evaluated load time is 100 seconds. If the spreader drop percent is 70%, strad will spend 70 seconds to drop its spreader from highest position to the top of container. Then spreader will keep its position for the rest 30 seconds before it actually load the container.
Spreader Lift Speed- The speed of spreader lifting.
Advanced Parameters- Click this button will open聽[Task Executer](Flexsim_Users_Manual.html) object GUI.
